I love my Almond 8' R-Series Joy. Living in South Florida I don't have much opportunity of getting consistent waves all year round. Although some days I am lucky enough to find some good days to use my board and progress in my surfing. Being a beginner it brings me a big smile every time I catch a wave with my Joy board.

Customer service was super helpful in helping every step of the way. They even suggested a more efficient way to ship the board which saved me more than 50% in shipping costs. I get complements on the board almost every day I take it out. Friends ask me if they can buy it from me. Never!!! Oh ya, the board is awesome too. Nice upgrade from my Gerry Lopez foamie.

The R Series Joy is a perfect board for the older beginner/intermediate surfer. Floats great, catches waves easily, not too big to maneuver. Also, important to note that the R-series is so sturdy you don't have to handle it too gingerly. Which means it is an easy board to share with other friends/family members who themselves may be in the early stages of their surfing journey.

Been loving the versatility and ease of use of my 8ft Almond Joy R-series! Just wish there were more chance for me to get in the waves with it to progress (currently living near Lake Ontario). Tshirts I’ve purchased are some of my favorites due to the cool designs and comfy fit & cotton material.
