We are giving you a downloadable PDF template for a DIY Mid-Length, to get you headed-off in the right direction.

This mid-length shape features a fairly centered mid-point, and a pin tail for both fitting deep in the pocket, and laying the board on rail for big, sweeping turns.

Download the attached 24" x 100" .pdf and print out your full-size mid-length template. There are curves on here for every size ranging from 6'6 to 8'0.

Template

I am beginning a journey of shaping my own boards as well as SUP's. I am from the Canadian prairies and it would be the weirdest place to find a shaper. I look forward to purchasing literature and whatever I need to learn and progress. Thanks for the free options!!!! Every little bit helps!!!

Amazing blueprint

Excellent! I used the outline of the surfboard to create a wooden “surfboard” for our wedding reception guestbook. We printed it out on engineering paper using the guidelines provided and were able to carve out a surfboard using plywood from our local Home Depot!! It looks amazing.
