If you are familiar with Andy, you know that he is one of the most exciting longboarders in the world—and he's loved both in and out of the water. The Walks on Water is the signature noserider that we cooked up with Andy many years ago—and it continues to be one of our most popular longboard models.

With its beefed-up, fuller rails and its full, wide outline, this board feels incredibly stable under your feet. But don't think its a floating sidewalk, get back on the tail and feel the lively swing of the nose when you throw the board into a turn.

The Walks on Water (or WoW for short) is a fantastic option for anyone looking to build confidence getting to the nose.

Active cross stepping required!

I wanted to write the most honest review I could, so I waited for 1 year of riding my 9’6 WOW in different breaks and conditions around central Cali. The board is beautiful, solid, and heavy, just the way logs should be. The board is amazingly stable on the nose, catches waves easily and the acceleration you get with each step towards the nose is the best out of any longboard I’ve had. Having said that, I believe the board is not the best for beginners or surfers that just want to cruise. You really need to be cross stepping up and down the board constantly to unlock the WOW’s full potential. If you just enjoy trimming while standing in the middle of the board, I’d recommend other longboard designs. If you are into active cross stepping, drop-knee turns and nose riding there’s no better board than this one. WOW #8303

WoW - Perfect Name

The Walks on Water is an absolute workhorse. I’m 6’3”, 250+ and it floats me beautifully, gets me into waves better than any board I’ve had, and is an absolute joy leaving me with one word on repeat - “WoW”!

This is a really nice shape if you want to purely do classic style longboarding. It is incredibly easy to setup stalls and noserides, and is super stable when walking. Very nice glide, paddles into stuff with ease and looks super pretty on the wall.

The raddest board in my quiver!

Talk about taking your surfing to the next level, this board is incredible at getting into waves, offering stability and speed - helping you practice getting in position for noseriding. Seriously improved my surfing and allowed me to get my first legit, perched up top hang 10s! I’d recommend (and have!) this board to anyone!!

Would you recommend a mini-walks on water or the Joy for an older longboarder who is looking to try a midlength for the first time? I love longboarding but want something a little smaller for travel and for someone who is getting a little older and slower. Want something smaller but still want to glide into waves, make some nice turns and occasionally get to the nose if I am feeling it. I'm 6' 150 and prefer smaller wave conditions but want something versatile enough for most days. .

Yes! The Mini WOW would be a perfect transition it seems like. The Joy would work great, but for what you are looking for, I recommend the Mini Walks on Water. Hi there! I am super interested in a 10' WOW! A few questions...if I do a custom order can I push the width to 24"? I live up in Santa Barbara and regularly surf Mondo's, Devereux, Campus Point and everywhere in between. I am about 6'0 tall (a female) and really looking for something stable and fun that I can easily get into waves with a hopefully start practicing my cross stepping. I am not the most amazing surfer (yet) but I absolutely love to surf and am in the water 2 to 3 days a week maxing out at 4ft waves. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on board style and if the 24" width is possible. Thank you!

Hi Katie, Thanks for reaching out, we can absolutely modify any dimensions on a custom order. I'll check with our shaper on the optimal width for the Walks on Water based on your description but adding some width shouldn't be a problem. Saw another question that asked about rocker and the answer was just pretty flat….how many inches front and rear does it have….also where is the wide point based at….for example middle of the board or 8” from middle of the board? Thanks
