Beautiful design, ride, and people

This is my second board from Almond and it just keeps getting better. The Surf Thump is quick to turn, fun to cruise, and so stable in critical sections. And it's still lighter than my last board which I appreciate. The staff at Almond are always helpful and will do whatever they can to give you the best experience possible!

Ride of my life!

Demo'd the surf thump and it was the perfect blend of stability for steezy noserides and the ability to have that smooth and stylish control from the tail. Exactly what I want in a board for all conditions!

After one year

My board didn't like me at first. It let me know that I didn't have enough style, technique and confidence. However, after a year, this 9'8" beauty has taught me so much and has lifted my surfing. We are having a lot of fun now. I highly recommend. As a side note, I constantly get compliments on its beauty, from the day I picked it up at the shop (see photo) to every time I paddle out.

Always fun Surf thump

I have been riding a custom surf thump with a triple stringer and I’ve never ridden a more fun board! I can get into small waves and still shred the bigger days if I want and it’s easy to turn for a big board! Highly recommend!

order #7893 9'4" used Surf Thump! I ordered this board over the weekend and I'm in Florida. So I have a couple quick questions. What kind of shape is the board in? Like I assume pretty pristine but just curious. Also I guess I'm sort of questioning whether I should've just ordered a custom Surf dump. I want to move to a little longer board, I'm an athletic 50+ year-old who serves a 9 foot Stewart but also have the 8 foot R series which I enjoy knocking around from time to time. I served mostly beach brakes near Destin in Panama City on the Gulf Coast. Would love advice before we ship a used board out.

This is one of the best looking used boards we have received in a while! It has a few stress fractures but they look minor. It is lightly cosmetic and not affecting the structural integrity of the board whatsoever. This board will be great for FL beach breaks. The Surf Thump is one of our most popular longboards because it can turn really well and has a little bit more rocker for beach breaks. It is a great all around longboard and should work great for what you are looking to achieve. If you want to talk further options, I am more than happy to go over it with you. Hey Scott, Thanks for reaching out, our two most popular longboards are going to be the Surf Thump and Lumberjack. The Surf Thump is going to be our most versatile, all around longboard. It's going to have a thumb tail so it flows through turns and maneuvers well. Holds up well in a variety of conditions (beach break and point break) https://almondsurfboards.com/collections/custom-surfboards/products/surf-thump The Lumberjack is more of a traditional nose rider with a full nose and squared tail so it's very stable for walking and nose riding.
