Andy had a beat up, old, 1970's gold 6’9 singlefin for YEARS. I’m pretty sure it was a garage sale score… It’s narrow, straight, and he surfed it really well when the waves got good.

That garage sale treasure was the inspiration behind Andy's newest signature surfboard model.

Custom Board

Couldn’t have had a smoother experience with my custom order! My Andy’s Arrowhead was done in about 6 weeks and the initial ordering process only took about 10 minutes. Couldn’t be any more stoked with how the board came out as well! I will definitely be ordering another board from Almond in the future.

In the description you say pretty flat bottom, is there any way you can be more specific on the actual bottom shape. Thank you.

Hello Zac, Thanks for reaching out! Andy's Arrowhead has a slight Vee that becomes a bit more pronounced towards the fin box. This Vee helps this board transition from rail-to-rail even while foot placement might be more towards the center of the board. Hope this helps! All the Best, Almond Surfboards Team

What size fin would you run in this board to get more drive off the take off and more speed. And quicker turns with this board

Hello Shawn,

Thanks for reaching out! We'd recommend a 8" Fin with a wide base and a decent amount of rake. Very similar to the 8" Joy Fin that is included with the board.

The Andy's Arrowhead had a very narrow tail, which means that speed is generated by being in the pocket. Engaging the rail through more drawn out turns is where this board excels & holds it's speed.

Looks like a nice board I’m not as lite as use to be now 185lbs it truly hurts to write that But what size would you recommend (I’m just shopping)

Thanks for reaching out, here are the dimensions for the board:

68-19-3.1=41.59
610-19.06-3.1=43.32
70-19.3-3.12=45.55
72-19.4-3.12=46.52

I'd probably recommend going with a 7'0 or 7'2. Should be a great size for you.

We can always go bigger if you want but that range should be ideal.
