Customer Review: 6'8 Pleasant Pheasant
Charlie Fox from Maine Surfer's Union—one of our dealers in the Northeast—just posted this email from one of his customers who picked up a 6'8 Pleasant Pheasant out of the racks:
Hey Charley, thanks for taking care of me yesterday. After I left the shop I zipped down to Higgins knowing it was gonna be onshore junk, just wanted to see how it paddled and maybe I would luck out. It was one of those rare times when its way better than the report, chest high peaks, clean(ish) and pretty thin crowd.
The board is unreal, paddles well, was able to duck dive no problem, catches waves like a dream. What really was impressive was that when needed it acted like a thruster and you could pump of the tail to generate speed in mushy sections but once you got going you shift your weight and it flys/glides along like a single fin. It lets you throw a pretty good hack in there too.
Anyway, thanks again, just what I was looking for.
Love reading people's assessment of a board, especially when it fits with the intended purpose of why we created that model.
